For the 2011 edition of LOOP Festival, the Fundació Suñol presents in the Nivell Zero space two historical videos from the foundation’s archives, commissioned by Josep Suñol.
On June 10th, 1976, Josep Suñol requested to Antoni Miralda and Jaume Xifra the creation of Situació Color a party-ritual to celebrate the opening of his new house. To document this event the authors made the video Situació Color, edited from a film in Super 8 by Roberto Mardones.
The three floors of the building by architect Josep Lluís Sert, where dressed with the three secondary colours, and the visitors were encouraged to follow a route conceived as an initiation voyage that traversed various house spaces. The food and the drinks, as well as the event scenery, played a key role in the theme of the party. In fact, the title: Situació Color made evident the will to attract and captivate the guests through the five senses: the view, the smell, the touch, the hearing and the taste.
