Act 0: Incite/

Kera Nagel and André Aspelmeier make up the duo INCITE/, an audiovisual project based in Hamburg. They play minimalist electronic music of fragmented sounds and austere rhythmic patterns, which in concert they synchronise with spectacular abstract videos made up of grey tones.
Far from falling into simple repetition, Incite/ build up their themes so that they are constantly evolving. The result is concise and exquisite with a strong presence of sub-grave register, grainy textures, sparks of static and glitch noise.
Incite/ has toured in the USA and Canada. Previously they performed throughout Europe and in festivals such as LEM, the Experimentaclub, 5DaysOff (Amsterdam), Cimatics (Brussels), RECMadrid and also in the International Media Art Biennale WRO (Wroclaw, Poland), where they were awarded third prize for best performance.
