The Chillida Leku Museum in Gipuzkoa inaugurated its new exhibition line on June 10, 2021, a program with invited artists focused on the sculptures made by great contemporary figures of Chillida.
This project begins with Tàpies en Zabalaga, an exhibition that establishes a direct dialogue between the works of Antoni Tàpies and the Basque artist, building a narrative based on the parallel life trajectories of these two great figures of 20th century art.
The exhibition, which is made up of a selection of small and large-format works, mainly sculptures from between the 80s and 90s, has the loan of “Cántaro y bota” (1987) by Antoni Tàpies, a piece from the Suñol Collection To usually do.
