Black light. Secret traditions in art since the 1950s
Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona
16 May – 21 October 2018
Curated by: Enrique Juncosa
The exhibition Black light, held by the CCCB between May and October 2018, sought to demonstrate the influence that secret traditions have had on contemporary art from the 1950s to the present day. Following a chronological order and through works and documents in very different disciplines, the exhibition highlighted the continuity of these currents, usually ignored, which often understand art as a way of knowledge and move away from the traditional purely formalist vision of abstraction. On this occasion the Fundació Suñol collaborated with the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona by lending a work by the artist Zush.
