Resignificating art from a gender perspective.

This educational project will allow you to delve deeper into the presence of women in the art world through the artists, curators and other professionals who have collaborated with the Fundació Suñol. In this way you will be able to work with your students on current and relevant issues linked to the vectors of gender perspective and, more tangentially, democratic citizenship and global awareness, as well as SDGs 5 and 10: gender equality and reduction of inequalities.
We propose a learning situation that seeks to awaken the inquiry and critical spirit of your students regarding stereotypes, prejudices and existing inequalities based on gender. To this end, we propose to analyze the access of women and men to artistic professions and their representation in art books and museum institutions.
The project, which connects school, museum and society, offers you great flexibility, since you can choose which of the numerous activities to apply according to the interests and needs of your students. We propose actions and dynamics of research, analysis and artistic creation to be carried out in the classroom, in the street and at the Fundació Suñol. Therefore, the proposal can be extended to a whole month, if you incorporate all the previous and subsequent dynamics that we suggest plus the visit to the museum (included in the price). In case you would like to reduce its duration, we recommend a minimum of one session prior to the classroom, a second one to the museum and a third one to consolidate the class.
