Ettore Colla

Parma, 1896 - Roma, 1968

Ettore Colla was an Italian sculptor recognized for his contribution to modern art through the use of recycled materials and found objects. Colla, a pioneer in sculpture assemblage, created works that combined fragments of metal and scrap metal, transforming them into abstract and evocative forms. With an industrial aesthetic but loaded with symbolism, his work stands out for the dialogue between art and mechanization, exploring the relationship between the original function of objects and their artistic reinterpretation. Her sculptures have been exhibited internationally, and Colla is considered a key figure in the development of abstract and constructivist art of the 20th century.
