Guided tour to ‘Andar con el río’

The exhibition held at the Fundació Suñol presents a selection of unpublished works, in a project that the artist has devised specifically for the spaces of the Fundació Suñol. A good part of the drawings that the artist has created between 2019 and 2023 are on display, under the influence of the stay she made in Japan in 2019, and where she connected with the Haikus of Matsuo Basho, one of the great masters of this ancient genre. That year the artist felt the need to use the rice paper rolls that she had been keeping in her home for decades. He grabbed the fine-tip marker and began to draw on the paper without thinking about anything. It was about leaving the hand free of any purpose or intention.

The result of that explosion of creativity is now presented at the Fundació Suñol, through works where we observe lines that become shapes, which present us with the artist’s daily life and which tell us about how our body relates to the environment. and with the objects that surround us.
