ITALIA. I sei sensi (The Six Senses)
This is the video capsule from ITALIA. I sei sensi (The Six Senses), which took place on the second floor of the Passeig de Gràcia building. The exhibition stems from Fundació Suñol’s initiative of offering continuous re-readings of the artworks in its collection.
In this case, the works were by Italian artists of the second avant-garde. The close link that the collector had with Italian culture and contemporary creation was a consequence of his many trips and stays in Rome and other cities in Italy.
The title of this exhibition comes from one of the series produced by Alighiero Boetti throughout the seventies: I sei sensi. Boetti stressed the importance of reason (pensare) in his artistic production, thus demonstrating the importance of thought as a sensitive entity in art.
