Film series in Zumzeig Dream Songs
16.05.2023, 19:00
In May we organized a film series at the Zumzeig cooperative cinema around the Zush in Ibiza exhibition. Two documentaries will be presented that show both the historical and cultural context of the island of Ibiza and the importance that his stay in New York had for Zush. On Tuesday, May 9, ‘The Karamazoff‘ will be screened, a documentary that revives the creative effervescence that existed in New York during the 1970s and 1980s by a group of Catalan artists, including Zush, and the Tuesday May 16 ‘Dream Songs‘ will be screened, a documentary about the hippie movement in Ibiza and its cultural importance for the island.
Dream Songs (2017) Direction: Augustí Vila. Screenplay: Agustí Vila and Enrique Juncosa. A small group of hippies, of a certain age, survivors of their time, are currently facing various situations that are crazy and absurd, because their way of proceeding is anachronistic, perhaps because they do not want or cannot adapt to the passing of time.
