13.06.2024, 18:30
On June 13 we celebrated a meeting between two of the art history professionals who have studied and admired Equipo Crónica the most. Michèle Dalmace, curator of the exhibition Art History as a Pretext, and Boye Llorens, will discuss issues such as the origins of Equipo Crónica within the framework of Estampa Popular, their work by series, and the social and cultural context in which they developed their career.
Michèle Dalmace is professor emeritus at the University of Bordeaux Montaigne, specialist in Caribbean Art History and Contemporary Spanish Art History, and more specifically of Equipo Crónica. She made the catalog of Graphic and Multiple Works of Equipo Crónica for the Museo de Bellas Artes de Bilbao in 1988, as well as the Catalogue Raisonné of Equipo Crónica’s painted works for the IVAM in 2001. He has participated in almost all the exhibitions of Equipo Crónica.
Boye Llorens Peters (Valencia, 1969) has a degree in Philosophy from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Master of Research in Humanities from the University of Girona. He has worked in galleries, auctions, and in the coordination of exhibitions for the Consorci de Museus de la Comunitat Valenciana. He has curated more than 30 exhibitions, among which we find several dedicated to Equipo Crónica: Equipo Crónica (Museo de Bellas Artes de Bilbao, 2015), Equipo Crónica (Fundación Bancaja, 2016). She is currently working on the last volumes of the catalog raisonné of Juli González.
