Cineforum Historical Memory in gender key: La llum d’Elna
29.06.2022, 19:00
On the occasion of the exhibition Exterior | Interior, Fundació Suñol organizes a proyection and colloquium around historical memory and cultural heritage in terms of gender with Silvia Quer, Assumpta Montellà and Eva Gimeno.
Staring with the proyection of the film La llum d’Elna of Silvia Quer, we will connect the emblematic Maternitat d’Elna with the Maternitat de Les Corts through the Street dedicated to Elisabeth Eidenbez. The claim that Alexia Medici makes of this Street on the Exterior | Interior, connect with the actions to recover the memory of women through toponymy that are taking place in different cities.
This will be followed by a discussion on the links between the two maternity hospitals and on the role that the Les Corts complex had in the neighborhood during the Civil War (and over time). We will have Silvia Quer, director of the fil, Asummplta Montellà, autor of the book La maternitat d’Elna, on which the fil is bades, and Eva Gimeno, co-author of La casa de Maternitat i Expòsits: les Corts.
