Gerardo Rueda was one of the great references of abstraction in Spain during the 20th century. His work is characterized by a constant search for formal purity and balance, using simple geometries, harmonious compositions and a subtle color palette.
Rueda was one of the founders of the El Paso Group, but developed an individual career marked by his experimentation with materials and textures. His works often combine painting and collage, exploring the relationship between space, form and volume. Throughout his career, he received national and international recognition, and his work is part of prominent collections in museums and institutions around the world.
