Jordi Vidal i Sordé

Ponts (Lleida), 1954

Jordi Vidal i Sordé is a prominent Catalan artist on the contemporary art scene. His work, which spans various media such as painting, sculpture and installation, is characterized by a constant search to explore space and perception through geometric and abstract forms.

With a strong influence from minimalist and conceptual art, Vidal creates works that explore the relationship between form, color and light. His pieces often challenge the viewer’s perception, generating effects of depth and change of perspective through the use of varied materials and precise composition. His work often plays with the tensions between visual simplicity and conceptual complexity, seeking to establish a dialogue between space, object and observer.

Throughout his career, Vidal has participated in numerous exhibitions at a national and international level, and his works have been presented in public and private collections. His vision of art as a constant process of exploration and transformation continues to be one of the defining characteristics of his artistic production.
