10.03.2018 - 07.04.2018
The Fundació Suñol organizes some commented tours for individual audience through the exhibition Fernando Vijande. Portrait: 1971-1987.
During the 70s and the 80s, Spanish art lived a very vibrant and transgressive moment, leaving important leading figures like Fernando Vijande. He was the gallery owner that promoted both nationally and internationally the work of the artists he represented at Galería Vandrés (1971-1980) and Galería Fernando Vijande (1981-1987).
Some of these creators include Robert Llimós, Antoni Muntadas, Darío Villalba, Teresa Gancedo, Luis Lugán, Carmen Calvo or Zush. Furthermore, Vijande also exhibited international artists whose work had never been seen in Spain, like Jannis Kounellis, Andy Warhol or Robert Mapplethorpe. This tribute counts on the participation of many of them and aims to be an account of his contribution and legacy.
